This post is part rant, part kick in the butt, part self-motivation…
The end of the year is here! As I dread coming up with my kids’ Halloween costumes (which is next week btw), I realize that not only has 4th quarter started, but it is already 1/3 over. Hence the year is over!
Here is the cold hard truth of the matter…we have 60 days to make an impact, to change our lives and the lives of those around us, to do something we’ve never done before, to make 2013 count, to do something crazy, to set ourselves up for the future, to plant seeds that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives, and to make our dreams reality.
The biggest thing that holds us back is fear…fear of failure, of success, of the unknown, of what people will think, of what it will look like, of what it will take. Get over it! Fear is no longer an excuse. We live in a constant state of dreaming and never make those dreams a reality because we are too afraid to take the leap. But NOW is the time to jump!
As the year comes to a close, many of us will start to set goals for 2014. And for many of us, the goals of 2013 will simply carry over because we didn’t make them happen. But I encourage you not to wait until next year.
Choose one thing that you can do in 60 days to get you one step closer to accomplishing your dreams. Then do it! Don’t look down. Just jump. Don’t think. Just do it. God will either provide a safe place to land or will build your wings on the way down. No parachute needed. Just faith.
Who’s with me? Let’s do something we’ve never done…together.
