A little lesson in Faith: The Playground

Waiting at the gates…

Faith in God must include faith in His timing. And since timing is everything, patience is key!

It was the 3rd day of summer school and they won’t let the kids play on the newly built playground until school actually started. So every morning my son and I stood at the gate and we admire the red swings and green slides from afar. The new playground was built and it looked ready to be played on. His frustration grew as he didn’t understand why he wasn’t allowed through the gates. We talked about how fun it will be when it’s time. It was hard to wait and patience was thin, but soon will come a day when we will play!

Several weeks later, the gates finally opened and the playground was all he dreamed of! Thank you Lord for the patience to wait on all that you have in store for your children…

“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” – Psalm 46:10

“Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.” – Isaiah 40:31

“Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” – James 5:7-8
